STAT!Ref Database
PREL is providing free, online access to Stat!Ref for all
residents of the U.S.-affiliated Pacific, including teachers,
students, parents, educational administrators, health professionals,
and researchers. Stat!Ref provides the most current medical
and drug information to doctors, nurses, librarians, medical
students, and researchers around the world.
Connecting to STAT!Ref
Visit www.prel.org and click
on Login under “Need to do research?” from any
computer at home, work, or school. Contact askprel@prel.org
for a password.
Searching STAT!Ref
- Select Title(s): Stat!Ref
defaults to having all titles selected. CTRL-clicking on
specific titles allows certain titles to be selected or
deselected. Choosing a Search Set from the drop-down menu
will give you a set of relevant titles.
- Enter Term(s): Type in the
word(s) you want to search for in the Enter Search Terms
box and press Enter, or continue to step 3 to refine your
search options.
- Set Precision: Select a
Precision setting from the drop-down menu to control the
sensitivity of your search.
- Search Options: Check the
Include Synonyms box to include synonyms of words in your
search statement. Check the Include Suffixes box for different
suffixes.
- Perform the Search: Click
the Search button or press Enter.
- View Search Results: Results
are listed in order of relevancy. Click on an item to display.
